KOREA Lighting (CEO Lee Dongwoo) won the gold prize at the 3rd Innovation Procurement Contest held
at the Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy & Innovation International Conference on the 15th.
The Innovative Procurement Contest is an event hosted by the Ministry of Strategy and
Finance and the Public Procurement Service since 2010.
It is an event that selects and awards public institutions that have applied it to the public sector.

KOREA Lighting has a hit product, ‘cut-off type LED lamp (ultra-slim, ultra-light LED module/engine)’ and
‘sterilization and antiviral function’. VITAMIN LED Lamp’ won the gold prize in this competition.

The cut-off type LED lamp is a new technology HS FRAME developed by KOREA Lighting and
has been designated as an innovative product in 2021.
It has the advantage of realizing 80% localization of materials by substituting core raw materials for imported materials,
and reducing budget such as energy saving and maintenance and maintenance costs compared to general lighting.

In particular, there is an advantage in that non-LED road lighting such as metal halide can be replaced with
LED lighting by replacing only the light source.
This award was given in consideration of the great contribution made by KOREA Lighting
to the domestic LED lighting replacement project.

Meanwhile, in this contest, public institutions (10 cases) and innovative companies (10 cases) selected
through preliminary screening among a total of 65 cases participated.
The people directly screened and selected innovative cases of excellent institutions and companies.

In a congratulatory speech, Public Procurement Service Director Lee Jong-wook said,
“The best practices announced at the contest are reflected in the new government’s innovative procurement plan.
“I will spread it to other public institutions and innovative companies,” he said.
“The innovation procurement system will help improve public services around us.
We will actively support it so that it can contribute to the growth of innovative companies.”
